Some days you hit “snooze” one too many times and find yourself rushing out the door without coffee (the HORROR!!!). Some days you forget your carefully planned + packed lunch in the fridge…AGAIN. Some days you just need a little something sweet, or salty, or savory, to help get you through the work day.
Here are three local eateries (and one almost-eatery) around Tulsa that can give you that extra foodie boost you so desperately need. You can find all these places (+ deals) on Towny, the FREE app that helps you explore the local Tulsa business scene.

Nothing like a little sugar fix to get your day started on the right foot. Ludger’s Bavarian Cakery is a Tulsa staple. Known for their Bavarian cream cheesecake that kick-started their bakery back in the 90’s, Ludger’s has since expanded their menu to sweets of all kinds, coffees & teas, and most recently, all sorts of cafe items. Pro tip: instantly become the favorite coworker when you show up to your next meeting with one of Ludger’s breakfast or lunch bundles!

Looking for a new lunch spot? Try Bill & Ruth’s Subs & Burgers. All of their sandwiches are made with freshly baked bread, their burgers are each 1/3-pound of greasy goodness, and for those of you trying to eat healthy (we applaud you), you can try one of their refreshing salads. Before you head back to work, pick up a grab & go healthy snack for those sneak attack munchies that always seem to rumble right in the middle of a meeting.

The Greens on Boulder is another classic deli serving up made-from-scratch meals like mama made them. They’ve always got a plentiful selection of sandwiches, salads, and wraps available, but you will definitely want to keep an eye on their daily specials. Tuesday’s white chicken chili is most definitely calling our name.

Some days just don’t go your way. We get it. Let off some steam at Got Wood Axe Throwing Co. They have eight lanes available for you to work on your knife + axe throwing techniques. After all, you can never be too prepared for the zombie apocalypse. Okay, okay so they’re not exactly an eatery—but the serve soda + beer and you’re more than welcome to bring in your fave food to munch on while you toss!
So next time you, your taste buds, or your grumbling belly are needing a little extra fuel, swing by one of these local foodie spots or any of the many others found on Towny. Towny is a free resource that rewards you for shopping local. Download Towny to your phone or browse the online app. Know of another local eatery you’d like to see on this list? We’d love to hear!
