School’s out for the summer and kids everywhere are ready to let loose and have a good time. However, there’s only so much of a good time to be had when you’re in the house all day. Looking for somewhere different and interesting to take your kids this summer? Try out these local spots:
Kids love games, prizes, and good food (who doesn’t?!). You’ll find all of that and more at Walther’s Golf and Fun. With 36-holes of tropical mini-golf excitement, laser tag games, a world-class arcade, and the indoor playground (Monkey Mountain) which includes tubes, a slide, a climbing net and obstacles, the whole family will enjoy a visit. Re-fuel at Coconut Cafe with snacks and refreshing beverages for a quick break in the action, or lean into the relaxing atmosphere for dinner with the whole family.
Kids of all ages can get creative at Snickerdoodle Art. This colorful and friendly art studio hosts paint parties, painting classes, and even special painting events. Check out the FREE “Tuesday Mornings” where kids five and under can hear stories and work on a simple craft. There’s also an art camp for children aged 5-12. Check out the website for availability! (P.S.– read the story of the owner, Andrea Halbig, and how she started Snickerdoodle Art).
